Bunny-Teeth and Your Child’s self-confidence
Bunny-Teeth and Your Child’s self-confidence
Alia
is a naturally shy, 10-year-old girl who would keep to herself during recess.
Her classmates make fun of her and call her bugs-bunny because her teeth
protruded. One day she came home crying uncontrollably, and she refused to talk
to her mom or dad about what happened. After long persuasion, she opened up to
her mom saying “I wish my teeth were OK too.”
Alia
is an example of a child whose self-esteem was undermined by an unfortunate
teeth imperfection. Many children are born with teeth that are less than
perfectly positioned and shaped. What parents should know is that early
orthodontic diagnosis and treatment can help. Orthodontic works are not only meant
to align teeth but enable them to function properly and effectively. Braces can
help your kids get rid of those Dracula teeth.
“At
times, we don’t realize how these things can impact our kids. Our decision of
bringing her to The Dental Roots was surely the right one as we have seen
tremendous change in her smile after that. She is now undergoing orthodontic treatment at their center and is extremely happy about it. She likes to talk
about her dentist to all her friends”, says Alia’s parent.
It’s
never too soon to start taking care of your children’s oral health. A child can
be examined for any orthodontic evaluation at the age of 6-8 yrs when their
permanent teeth start to erupt. It’s important to understand the importance of perfectly
aligned teeth. Our team makes sure your kids continue to keep their smiles
healthy and beautiful – something they can be proud of.
